OUR STORY
My family and I moved to the United States from Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the late 90s, carrying with us our roots, our traditions, and one of Argentina’s most beloved foods: empanadas.
For us, empanadas were always more than food—they were part of home, family gatherings, and the way we shared love around the table.
In 2001, we started our first empanada business in South Florida, sharing the flavors we grew up with and bringing a little piece of Argentina to our new community.
Then, as life often does, it led us in different directions, and the business took a pause for a season.
But the love for what we created never left our hearts. Even during the years we stepped away, the dream of one day bringing it back stayed with us, because sharing our culture through food had always been part of who we are.
In 2022, the name Gaucha was born as a reflection of my own identity as Mariana, the owner and founder. In Argentina, a gaucha is a woman of the countryside—strong, resilient, hardworking, and deeply rooted in tradition, family, and the land. That meaning felt like the perfect way to honor where I come from and the heart behind everything we create.
When the time felt right, we came back with renewed purpose, deeper gratitude, and the same passion for serving people through food made with love.
Today, Gaucha continues to grow across Central and South Florida, serving weddings, corporate events, festivals, schools, and communities with the same heart, tradition, and hospitality that started our journey.
